Four years ago almost to the day I lost Barclay, Cosmo's sire.  Four years and five days later Cosmo went to join his daddy.
Where Barclay was the distinguished gentleman of the family Cosmo was always the trouble maker. Affectionately called "Causing Trouble Cosie." Cos took with him a lot of laughter.

Cosmo is the subject of the overlay above. He and I spent six years going to shows trying to finish his championship. He gained most of his points in the first two years but the major win he needed to finish just kept alluding us. It wasn't his fault. As you can see above he is very correct, to the standard the way the American Boxer Club has written it. His inability to get the last win, to finish his championship,was more a product of timing, finances  and geography. Cosmo Girl Gets Second Best of Breed Summer 2005

Cosmo is the clown of the family. He has made many friends and had a ringside fan club waiting patiently to see what tricks he might pull out.

Below Cos and I at Canby where he obtained his second big win in a row. Made even more special as his half sister was Best Of Breed and his half brother was Best Opposite Sex.

Below Cos greets friends after a long day of showing. Note the crates are set up under a tent. There is matting on the floor and the people have to sit on the ground.

Fans for cool air in case it gets hot. Special food like beef heart or gumpy chicken. In spite of all the special care show dogs do get very stressed. After several days of getting up at 4 am, exercise and light meal, off to the show grounds, more exercise, grooming..off to the ring...showing and then back to the crates for a nap, the days seem endless. On a big show circuit, like the one we are at in this picture, we don't get home until 6 pm.
